The Royal Danish Academy of Music will be opening its doors to a new summer course with master classes, concerts and social interaction across the boundaries of different instruments and countries. The course will provide opportunities for both formal and informal performances.
The course will take place on 16-21 August 2010, and is primarily aimed at students from music academies. Preparatory academy students must apply using a special application form.
The International Summer Campus 2010 will be provided by a strong international team of internal and external teachers:
- From Germany: Henrik Wiese, flute – principal flautist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich
- From Austria: Gerhard Schulz, violin – professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, and violinist with the
Waldstein Ensemble
- From the USA: Hans Jørgen Jensen, cello – professor at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University, Illinois
- From the Royal Danish Academy of Music:

Professor Serguei Azizian, violin
Professor Morten Zeuthen, cello
Professor Max Artved, oboe
Instructor Audun Halvorson, solo bassoonist with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra
The Royal Danish Academy of Music offers a one-week, high-level master class with a repertoire of your own choice, within solo as well as chamber music.
The course is offered at a special introductory price which includes classes, room and board.
Without accommodation: DKK 1500 / EUR 200
With accommodation: DKK 4900 / EUR 650
The deadline for applications is 1 May 2010. Further details concerning the teachers, application procedure, etc., will be provided at the beginning of 2010.
