Artistic research (KUV)

The Danish composer Ole Schmidt left behind solo works for guitar and accordion. The works possess great artistic quality but lack the critical review by an instrumentalist that is often necessary before a work can be realised in practice. The project focuses on the role of the musician as both steward and creative co-creator when works are to be revised and made into a living part of the repertoire.

The project will be carried out in the period 2021-23 by accordionist Bjarke Mogensen and guitarist Jesper Sivebæk.

The project is funded through a grant from the Ministry of Culture’s pool for artistic research.
