11:00 Belma Sarancic - Balkan challenges
Women who play the accordion - often seen as a “man’s instrument” - frequently confront prejudice, particularly within the patriarchal and traditionally oriented Balkan context. This lecture examines accordion traditions in the Balkans, highlighting women’s roles past and present, and presents current initiatives and future projects aimed at improving their
position in the field.

13:00 Toeac - Innovative thinking
Toeac share their view on the musical entrepreneurship for a modern day classical (female) accordionist.

15:00 Axel-Camilla Barratt-Due – Pneumatic hearts
Presentation of artistic research on instrument-building. The instruments originate from deconstructed accordions, put into new altered mechanical systems, played with code and DIY-electronics.
