Narrative Spaces – Immersive Audio

Artistic research (KUV)

This project is interested, from an artistic perspective, in how the latest possibilities of 3D audio can best be utilised by composer and sound engineer together. Technological developments point to new perspectives for the ‘listening situation’, the methodology of composition and the relationship between these, with the aim of creating, through sound, immersive experiences of the narrative that can be made accessible everywhere, to everyone. The project will develop and qualify methodological approaches in order to collaborate in the creation of new music for this purpose.

The project has been realised in a collaborative venture between the National Film School of Denmark, the Danish National Academy of Music, the Rhythmic Music Conservatory and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

The project is funded through a grant from the Ministry of Culture’s pool for artistic research.
