Artistic Practice

RDAM’s teachers are predominantly employed on the basis of their merits as artists and their teaching experience at academy level. In general, considerable emphasis is also placed on teachers having an artistic career alongside their employment at the Academy. This contributes to a direct contact with the employment market, and creates visibility that helps to attract applicants. A strong artistic practice is also an important prerequisite for projects in the field of artistic research. Artistic practice is divided into creative and performing practice, and includes, for example, composition, concert activities under the auspices of RDAM, external concert activity at the highest level, CD releases and other audio documentation.
