Echoes off Cliffs arose from a shared musical and artistic interest between composer Martin Lohse and accordionist Bjarke Mogensen.

The work was originally written for the nature of Bornholm, where the accordion sound is reflected in the rocks and the surrounding nature and delayed as echoes. The music was recorded, later processed electronically and sent during the concert, out to speakers placed around the audience. In this way, large sound sculptures are created that slowly change and are interrupted by faster music in the accordion, as a mirror of the eternal dance between the slow, almost unchanging and the fast human time that unfolds in our world today. In an alternation between both lightness and darker colors - just as nature also changes over time. An installation concert where nature and music merge into a higher unity.

For today's concert, the composer and the accordionist Luca Bello has created a special concert version, where Martin Lohse's work, Passing for accordion solo, is combined with the original work.
