Pianist Berit Johansen Tange graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Anne Øland and made her debut from the chamber music class in 2000.

Employed as accompanist, repetiteur and teacher of accompaniment at DKDM. Berit Johansen Tange has performed as a chamber musician and soloist in numerous contexts, both in and outside Denmark.

She has worked especially intensively with the music of the Danish composer Rued Langgaard, including recording 4 albums of his solo piano works, the last of which was released in 2022. Together with violinist Gunvor Sihm, she has recorded all of Langgaard's works for violin and piano (3 albums), a release that has received rave reviews both at home and abroad.

For many years, Berit Johansen Tange has been a regular concert performer at the annual Rued Langgaard Festival, and has actively worked to spread awareness of his music. This includes masterclasses and a Langgaard competition for students launched in 2021, as well as solo performances at Langgaard presentations in both Vienna and Berlin.

She is also co-editor of the music edition of Langgaard's complete works for piano, published in 2018 by Edition Wilhelm Hansen.
