Sound Laboratory for Children and Young People with Hearing Loss
Together with musicians from the Gstaad Festival Orchestra and experienced teachers, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with the many forms of musical expression in a safe and inspiring environment. Separate sound laboratories will be held for children aged 5–12 and for young people aged 12 and over.
A conference will take place alongside the sound laboratories for parents, professionals and anyone else interested in the subject. Researchers, doctors and musicians will explore hearing and music from a range of perspectives. Internationally renowned percussionist and composer Dame Evelyn Glennie will take part as a special guest.
Project H.O.P.E. brings together music, medical science and social responsibility and was created by Daniel Hope, Menuhin Festival Gstaad and Fondation Juchum. Sign language interpretation will be provided at the conference.
