The RDAM ensemble Trio Fantasma has been awarded 2nd Prize at Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition

The international competition, which took place in Gdańsk, Poland, from 14–18 May 2025, featured 18 piano trios and quartets from around the world.

The trio consists of violinist Josephine Egede Franyó, cellist Magnus Franyó, and pianist Merel Beelen, who all study under Professor Tim Frederiksen and Professor Jens Elvekjær at the Academy.

“We are incredibly proud to be among this year’s prizewinners. After intense preparation leading up to the competition, we are deeply honoured by this tremendous recognition,” says Josephine Egede Franyó on behalf of the trio.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Trio Fantasma.
