The concert brochure looks the same – and yet, not quite ...
We’ve rethought the various concert formats and grouped them into eight different categories. This autumn, we’re introducing four new features:
Monday Music (Category 4): These concerts take place on the Studio Hall, where the bar in the Studio Foyer opens at 19:00. The concert will follow as one continuous, curated programme, put together by one of the Academy’s teachers. After the concert, there will be an opportunity for informal conversation and connection with the evening’s performers and fellow audience members.
The Laboratory (Category 8): These events offer insight into how RDAM’s teachers develop the knowledge base of our programmes and teaching through experiments, inquiries, development projects, and research. Expect talks, lectures, lecture-concerts, and experimental performances – for example, in the Immersive Soirées and BEYOND series. We are also strengthening our dialogue with external collaborators and conversation partners.
A new festival is born: KONTRAST – light and darkness. On the edge of November’s gloom, we present an intense festival featuring orchestra and choir, chamber music, family concerts, and city-wide events with opportunities for socialising beyond the concert itself.
The Wednesday Concerts are a familiar presence, but we’ve given students more creative freedom and established new partnerships with venues in other parts of the city that we’re looking forward to visiting.

You can use the calendar overview at the back of this brochure to put together your own personal concert series. Please note that a few concerts require tickets.
